ENG015 fall 2018

Hi, I’m  Juliet, and i’m from Quakertown. I was born in Holland but I have moved twice since then. I have an older sister, who is 6 years older than me, but there is seriously no real age difference because we are so close. She is 6 months pregnant and when she has her baby, I will be a godmother and an aunt. I’m really excited about that because I love kids and I am also really good with them. I’m majoring in Education to hopefully become a highschool english teacher one day. Some of my favorite things (besides my family and friends) are definitely Christmas, cars and animals. My dad restores and builds mopars, so I have been around cars and going to carshows since I was first born. Im really thankful for that because as I grew up, I found out that I also have a love for cars and know a lot about them. I’m also a very big animal lover. I have 3 dogs and 2 cats at the moment. If you ever hear about those people that can’t walk down the street without petting every single dog they see, that’s me!

Annotating in ENG 15

Annotating “teaching thinking” Juliet Ferro When I am annotating, I make sure that I read it all first and look for the most important things in the paragraphs. Once I am done highlighting and reading through the whole paper, I go back to the highlights and I write little side notes that maybe I agreed with it or I have a question about it, or maybe I stated why I thought it was important. I usually star things when I find it really interesting so that I can go back to it. I put question marks next to statements that may confuse me or I have more questions about it. I also am not the type of person to just read something one time and understand it fully. I always read the paper once slowly , trying to understand the full concept, and then I read it again kind of “skimmingly” just to make sure I didn’t miss anything.
